About Pastor Kimber
Pastor Kimber, a native of Monroe/West Monroe, has served in full-time ministry since 1986, including over 20 years as a lead or co-pastor and helping plant three churches. She holds doctorates in Christian Counseling and Christian Humanities and is passionate about developing leaders. Pastor Kimber is married to Chris, who has a Master’s in Christian Business Development and has worked as an insurance agent since 1997.
As the founder of Ascend Church, Pastor Kimber is dedicated to inspiring growth and transformation in individuals, helping them reach their God-given potential. Her vision for the church is to create a place that not only impacts the community but also empowers people to live out their purpose.
Together, Pastor Kimber and Chris are committed to building a church that focuses on developing leaders who develop other leaders, with the goal of transforming their city one life at a time.

Ascend Church is being launched with a deep sense of purpose and a clear vision to meet the needs of both the spiritual and practical aspects of life in Ouachita Parish's Twin Cities. These cities, rich in tradition and history, also face significant challenges, including poverty, educational disparities, and racial tension. At the heart of Ascend Church is a desire to reflect God’s love and purpose for this community—bringing hope, healing, and transformation to every person who calls this area home.
