About Pastor Kimber
Pastor Kimber, a native of Louisiana, has served in full-time ministry since 1986, including over 20 years as a lead or co-pastor and helping plant three churches. She holds doctorates in Christian Counseling and Christian Humanities and is passionate about developing leaders. Pastor Kimber is married to Chris Ogden. Chris was born in Ruston and worked as an insurance agent since 1997 after graduating from Louisiana Tech University with two business degrees.
As the founder of Ascend Church, Pastor Kimber is dedicated to inspiring growth and transformation in individuals and helping them reach their God-given potential. Her vision for the church is to create a place that not only impacts the community, but also empowers people to live out their purpose and achieve success in every area of their life.
Together, Pastor Kimber and Chris are committed to building a church that focuses on developing leaders who develop other leaders, with the goal of transforming their city one life at a time.
In 2011, she founded the Team Seth Foundation for traumatic brain injury awareness after her 17-year old son, Seth, was hit on his bicycle while training for a triathlon. She also served 3 years as the North Central Area Director for Special Olympics.

At the heart of Ascend Church is a desire to reflect God’s love and purpose for this community—bringing hope, healing, and transformation to every person who calls this area home.

Pastor Kimber's vision for Ascend Church aims to be a place where individuals can encounter God’s love and experience transformation in every area of their lives. Our upcoming launch in March will be a pivotal moment in the life of this region—one that will bring fresh vision, renewed hope, and a commitment to positive change. Ascend Church is not just a place of worship, but a catalyst for lasting change in the broader community, empowering individuals to bring about transformation in their homes, schools, and workplaces.
